The Rendezvous Theatre has landed itself as the place to be for people in Tshwane and around Gauteng. Since 2007, live Jazz, Comedy, Poetry, Rock and Hip hop performances have graced the stage every month, housing the highest number of Comedians, Poets, and Musicians on stage in the country.

With various genres such as Jazz and African Music, Hip-hop , Rock and House, Kwaito plus Gospel to be launched in the near future, the State Theatre wants to ensure that this venue remains the best Entertainment Centre in Gauteng . For this to happen the State Theatre will be re-branding and re-launching the Rendezvous Theatre to make it a vibrant place where anyone and everyone can come to relax and experience the magic of live performances.

As part of rebranding the venue will be acquiring a new name and you as our patrons are invited to suggest this new name. This new name should encapsulate the ambiance of the venue and speak to every patron who comes to it. A name that will identify the spirit of our the Mzansi night life.

Forms will be available at the foyer of the Rendezvous Theatre and you can also download the forms on our website and Facebook page and drop them in the suggesting box at the Rendezvous Theatre.

The person who suggests the winning name will be named the friend of the theatre and will receive 2 tickets for each Rendezvous show produced by The State Theatre for the whole year.
