Bonafide, appearing as a SAST Fringe artist, is an award‑winning songwriter, composer and rap artist who earned a Naledi Award for Best Score for Freedom The Musical in 2019. His feature offers an intimate exploration of his creative process and provides an in‑depth look into the music and experiences that define his artistic voice.

PDOT’O, featured in the SAST Fringe Season, is a Hip‑Hop artist whose musical identity is shaped by his roots in the Transkei, the homeland he shares with Nelson Mandela. Raised in Gonubie, East London, he grew up immersed in 90s artistic culture, which continues to influence his lyrical depth, storytelling and evolving musical expression.

Dudu’s journey into music began in the choir, where she discovered her gift—a smooth, soft, chocolate voice that captivated audiences. Although she initially aspired to pursue a degree in Psychology, her exposure to Jazz music ignited a deep passion and fascination for the genre. Embracing her talent, she refined her soulful jazz voice and completed a National Diploma in Jazz and Popular Music at Central Johannesburg College (CJC). Over the years, Dudu has graced diverse stages, performing for audiences both nationally and internationally, showcasing her evolution as a remarkable artist in the jazz and soul genres.
